Israel and Occupied Palestinian Territory Appeal
The current situation is desperate, and civilians are paying the highest price. More than 4,000 people have been killed, and over 15,000 civilians have been injured due to the escalating violence in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories.
More than 500,000 people have been displaced from their homes in the Gaza Strip, and thousands have been taken as hostages from southern Israel.
The Magen David Adom (MDA), the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) are working relentlessly to save lives and provide urgent medical help, ambulance support and first aid to people affected by the conflict.
What are the Red Cross doing?
Staff and volunteers from these humanitarian organisations have become casualties of the violence. This is why the Italian Red Cross and the global Red Cross Movement keep working to assist those wounded, sick orin need and to state firmly once again to respect international humanitarian law. Civilians and healthcare workers must be protected at all times.
How to help people affected by the conflict
We expect humanitarian needs to increase, and people will need much more support in the coming weeks.
In some areas, there is no water, food, power and healthcare. Our volunteers are working around the clock to alleviate the growing population’s suffering, try to locate missing onesand help people reestablish contact with their own families.
The best and quickest way to help support those affected is to donate.
